The San Marcos River is flowing strong again so make sure you take time now to make your reservations for family tubing fun this summer. Our favorite location is Leisure Resort in Fentress Texas (between Luling and San Marcos).   Last summer, the drought in Texas really hurt this long-time favorite campsite when the river was so low.  But,  even though there was a time in September ‘09 when we almost had to walk our tubes down the river, we still had fun. This RV Park was originally built in the 50’s as a fishing camp and is a beautiful escape from the real world.  Almost all of their sites are under the trees in this beautiful old pecan orchard.  Our favorite part of this park is the family friendly atmosphere.  We go there a couple times each season and have family members, who don’t own RVs, join us and stay in the cabins.  It is just a fun and relaxing experience…well worth checking out    Visit their website…
