Many people have worked hard and earned themselves a hectic, high-pressure job. Some of these people are opting for a simplier life and becoming an RV full-timer. Some people just decide that being a fulltimer would be the way to enjoy retirement or life.

My sister-in-law’s parents decided to become full-timers when he retired. They knew they wanted to move from the place they lived while working so it was a great way to transition to their new retirement location. They spent about 3 years in their Airstream going to various parts of the country. They usually spent several weeks or more at each place they visited. They were able to see and explore some of their favorite locations in depth.

They knew that fulltiming would not be forever for them. It was time spent before they built a small house on the lake where they moved after enjoying a great time fulltiming in their RV.

For those people that really want to see the country and experience some of the out of way places, fulltiming can offer a great lifestyle.  Life in an RV might be a lot more cramped but without property taxes, high utility bills and the hard work of maintaining a house and yard. Many are discovering being a fulltimer is filled with rewards. Many fulltimers report that living in an RV is less complicated and have adapted well to living full time in their RV.

There are some good books about fulltiming if you are considering this lifestyle. Living in an RV and and the Complete Fulltimers Guide offers a lot of information about fulltiming in an RV. Such books can be a great place to start if you are considering the full-timing lifestyle.
